Can't I rely on the Recycle Bin for data recovery in Microsoft 365?
Although the Recycle Bin offers a certain level of recovery, it has limitations. Items in the Recycle Bin are automatically purged after a specified period, and it does not provide granular recovery options for specific files or versions.
How often should I back up Microsoft 365 data?
The frequency of backups depends on your business’s data change rate and retention policies. Regular, automated backups (e.g., daily or multiple times a day) are recommended to ensure minimal data loss. Our solution backs up data three times a day.
What should I do if I receive a spam email?
If you receive a spam email and have an active Geostream IT support contract, do not reply, click on any links or attachments. Instead, forward it to [email protected] and then delete the email. If you don’t have an active Geostream IT support contract, do the same but inform your IT provider or IT department.
Is Microsoft responsible for backing up my data in Microsoft 365?
Microsoft follows a shared responsibility model. While they ensure infrastructure resilience, it is the users’ responsibility to protect their data.
